ShiftWall

Terms, license & policies. Plain English, short.

The fine print, large.

ShiftWall is sold by Carl Prewitt Jr., an individual software developer in Texas, USA. These are the whole terms. No links to forty more pages.

1 · What you're buying (the license)

Your one-time payment buys a perpetual license to run one installation of ShiftWall for one business, delivered as a release you install on hosting you control — the guide walks it in plain steps, and I install it for you on request. "Perpetual" means what it says: it keeps working whether or not you ever pay me again.

The software's source stays copyright © Carl Prewitt Jr., all rights reserved. Third-party components inside it keep their own open-source licenses.

2 · Refunds

All sales are final. Once ShiftWall is delivered or installed, there are no refunds, because you now permanently have the software.

That's the honest trade of selling software as a download instead of a subscription: I can't take it back, so I can't give the money back. Protect yourself the sensible way, before paying:

One backstop applies either way: if ShiftWall cannot be made to run on hosting that meets the stated requirements (PHP 8.3+, a MySQL/MariaDB database, and a web server that can be pointed at a folder — any panel or a plain VPS), whether you followed the guide or asked me to install it, I'll get it working or refund you. Software that never ran isn't "delivered."

3 · Updates & support ($150/year, optional)

The optional yearly fee covers software updates and direct support from me by email. It renews only if you choose to pay it. If you skip it:

Support means help with ShiftWall itself. Problems caused by your hosting provider, other software on the server, or modifications you made are outside it — though I'll usually point you the right way anyway.

4 · Privacy

This website

This site collects nothing. No analytics, no cookies, no tracking pixels, no forms. If you email me, I have your email because you sent it, and I use it to reply to you. That's all.

Your ShiftWall installation

ShiftWall runs on hosting you control. Your schedule, your employees' names, emails, phone numbers and hours live in your database, on your server. Nothing is sent to me or to any third party by the software. I can only see your data if you give me access to your hosting — typically during install or support, with your permission, for that purpose.

The software itself ships hardened for privacy: no public pages, no self-registration, search engines told not to index it, and AI crawlers refused outright.

5 · Plain-dealing warranty & limits

I promise the software does what the guide says it does at the time of sale, and that I'll fix honest defects in that behavior — quickly if you're on the support plan, as I'm able otherwise.

Beyond that, ShiftWall is provided as-is. To the maximum extent the law allows, I'm not liable for indirect damages — lost profits, lost data on hosting I don't control, or scheduling mistakes made with the software. ShiftWall warns and never blocks by design; staffing decisions, labor-law compliance, and payroll accuracy remain yours. My total liability for any claim is capped at what you paid me in the twelve months before it.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA.
